Kudus, February 20, 2026 — Nojorono has once again confirmed its accreditation from the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) as a Testing Laboratory for the implementation of the SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, an international reference that ensures the competence and consistency of reliable testing processes. This achievement underscores the strengthening of corporate governance through a long-term commitment to a measurable and independently verified quality system.
During the
accreditation process, which ran from April 2025 to January 21, 2026, Nojorono
not only maintained its previous accreditation but also obtained a significant
expansion of its scope from 8 to 18 test parameters. This addition includes
testing on kretek cigarettes, white cigarettes, tobacco, and finished blends,
with parameters covering smoke content such as total particulate matter,
nicotine, and tar, as well as raw material characteristics such as nicotine,
reducing sugar, chloride, and moisture content. This expansion is an additional
validation of competence that strengthens the laboratory's capabilities in
scientifically ensuring product quality.
Daniel Halim, Director of PT Nojorono Tobacco International, said that this accreditation is an important foundation for ensuring that Nojorono's production and product quality testing processes are carried out accurately and accountably. “Strengthening the testing laboratory is part of Nojorono's commitment to good corporate governance and compliance with applicable standards,” he said.
The LP-2213-IDN accreditation reinforces national recognition of testing competence and supports the company's readiness to meet regulatory requirements and industry dynamics that increasingly demand accountability.
Daniel added that this accreditation is a long-term investment to maintain the integrity of every Nojorono product. “Nojorono will continue to evaluate and improve its quality system. Compliance and discipline with standards are our strategic steps in ensuring that the company remains adaptive, responsible, and trustworthy,” concluded Daniel.
